Invera launches as a dedicated software company for critical infrastructure, serving more than 1,000 customers

21 April 2026 – Invera, formerly the infrastructure division of Volue, launches today under a new name as an independent software company for critical infrastructure. With more than 1,000 customers, Invera brings together solutions used daily by municipalities, water utilities and contractors across Norway and Sweden.

Invera will continue to offer its well-known and widely used solutions in the Gemini product family, supporting water, wastewater and construction projects.

- We are pleased to launch Invera as an independent company. It allows us to focus on what we are passionate about: developing and delivering critical infrastructure software. At the same time, our customers can rest assured that all our talented people remain on board, and our expertise and solutions will continue as before, says Morten Strand, Chairman of the Board of Invera.

Invera’s leading solutions are used every day for planning, design, operation and documentation of critical infrastructure, from water and wastewater networks to major construction and civil engineering projects. The Gemini product family, which many customers know and use today, will continue to be maintained and developed as a central part of Invera.

The company has two business areas:

  • Invera Water – solutions for the management, operation and documentation of water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Invera Construction – solutions for terrain modelling, project management and digital collaboration in the construction and civil engineering sector

Invera is owned by FSN Capital VI, which acquired the infrastructure division of Volue in the summer of 2025 to establish a standalone business and accelerate growth across the Nordics and internationally.

- Digital infrastructure is essential to how municipalities, developers and the construction industry plan, build and manage our society. Under its new name, Invera will continue its long-standing partnerships with customers, with a long-term perspective on software for critical infrastructure, built on more than 40 years of experience and expertise, says Eirik Wabø, Principal at FSN Capital Partners.

As a standalone company, Invera will sharpen its focus on serving critical infrastructure, focusing on the development of solutions tailored to the needs of the municipal sector and the construction and civil engineering industries.

- We have a shorter path from field feedback to concrete improvements in our solutions. That puts us in a better position to develop tools that truly create value in practice – whether you work at municipal offices, on the construction site or with project design, says Adam Berg, CEO of Invera.

For existing customers, all agreements, products, support arrangements and contacts remain unchanged. The only things changing are the name and the visual identity.

Invera’s new website will be available at www.invera-tech.com from 21 April.
